Why I'm glad I don't have to drive in NYC

So, yesterday I noticed ominous signs about not parking on either side of 1st ave, due to street resurfacing. Couple that with a visit from the Prez and traffic all around the neighborhood has been rough. When I walked Chalups @ 5 it was bad, and now that it seems that everything below 51st is closed on First ave it's horrendous, not to mention the humidity that has eluded us for this "summer" finally descended upon us. Sticky heat, idling cars, honking horns, and the asphalt dust in the air make for a perfect storm. Thank god I'm not a poor fool stuck in one of those cars.
